Spectacular Port Davey Tour. If you are looking for a unique wilderness tour that will live unparalleled in your memory as one of the great natural experiences of a lifetime, think about doing our 5-night, 6-day Port Davey tour. Recognised as one of the most spectacular wilderness destinations in the world, the only way in to Port Davey is a serious bushwalk, a flight in a light airplane or now you can book one of only three trips a year on Helsal 4. On the way we'll overnight in Recherche Bay, one of Tasmania's most historic natural, cultural sites, before sailing along the rugged south coast of Tasmania. Spend four days exploring Port Davey, a fascinating and forgotten corner of the world. On the voyage home, sail through the Maatsuyker island group, and see some of the most spectacular islands in the world, before heading through the seal colonies on the Friars at the bottom of Bruny Island. Retrace Captain Cook's footsteps with a stop at Adventure Bay before a leisurely cruise up the Derwent River. Note, while the schedule for the Port Davey voyages has been calculated for the most suitable periods of the year, this trip is subject to weather conditions. If the weather is too severe for you to sail into Port Davey, you may opt to fly in to join Helsal 4 on location. Light plane transfers can be arranged on request. Click here to see larger image
